MapRun Courses Virtual Orienteering

Use the GPS in your smartphone (or watch) to take part in “Virtual” orienteering at a time convenient for yourself. With the MapRun app you can run a course using either the map on your phone screen or a paper version, and your phone will beep when you reach the correct location of each control.

HAVOC have a series of MapRun courses available for individual training runs.

The latest version of the MapRun application is MapRun6, and this is the version that should be downloaded and used for all courses, even if the instructions refer to MapRunF.

The number on the map refers to the reference number for each course in the table below.

MapRun courses can be downloaded from the MapRun app in the UK/Essex folder.

Note: For some of the early score events, scoring on the App is 10 points more per control than that described in the instructions. This has now been corrected for later courses with the update to MapRun6.

More courses will be added over time.
