One mile from M25 J28/A12 junction at the main visitor centre car park, off Weald Road, postcode CM14 5QS.
Essex County Council car parking tiered charge of £2.80 for 1 hr, £4.00 for 2 hrs, £5.20 for 4 hrs, £6.30 all day. Payment by MIPermit or by credit card at the car park machines (no cash payments). For MIPermit, register in advance at https://secure.mipermit.com/essexcountryparks/Application/home.aspx or pay using that website. Alternatively call 0345 520 7007 and quote the name of the park. From the M25 junction 28, follow the A1023 towards Brentwood. After 500m turn left at the first traffic lights onto Wigley Bush lane. Proceed 1km to South Weald village and turn left onto Weald Road. Turn right after 400m into the Visitor Centre car park Park. (Note; later arrivals may be directed into the nearby Belvedere car park, which is the same distance from the Start & Finish)

Other attractions: Lake with wildfowl, a deer enclosure and a picnic area. Stick Man play trail for the young and young at heart.
Terrain Description
OCAD map of the former grounds of the Weald estate with recent updates, 1:10,000 scale. Terrain is gently contoured and comprises undulating mature woodland, a deer park, lakes, landscaped open and rough open areas.
Map drawn to ISOM 2017-2 standard with the following special symbols:
black X = park bench;
black O = vent; play equipment or sculpture;
Full leg cover is required due to high vegetation.

Starts from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Courses close at 2:30 pm.

Dogs are allowed, but should be kept on a lead at all times, and not interfere with other competitors / park users.
