Thanks for coming and to the HAVOC team for their help with the event, especially Tony Biggs for sorting out the SI side of things for us. Everyone seemed to appreciate having tailored A4 overprinted maps for the event. Congratulations to CHIG for winning both the day's HAVOC v CHIG competition and this year's summer series.
I tried to find enough runnable areas as possible, avoiding the heavy summer vegetation that exists in places, so that everyone could at least have a pleasant run with reasonable technical difficulty. As it was supposed to be a relatively low key/low manpower event, I planned the Blue course as an extension to the Green course.
Judging from the comments received and overheard, the courses provided enough of a challenge ahead of the Scottish 6 Days event to blow a few cobwebs out of people's systems. Competitors seemed to use most of the route choice options that I envisaged, plus some that I didn't!
