The ongoing construction of a new vehicle track across the Woodland Trust land complicated the course planning as I needed to keep everyone away from the potentially dangerous diggers. Therefore most courses made limited use of the land beyond the established woods of Thorndon Park South.  Some runners had a problem finding the punch at control 17 (control 6 on Orange, 8 on Light Green and 11 on Blue).  It is interesting that all Orange course competitors and most early and late runners found it successfully.  The cause of the problem is a mystery and I have therefore given all competitors who could not find the punch the benefit of the doubt.  Thanks to Janet Biggs and Colin Jackson for help with control collection.  Thanks to Keith Ryder and Brian Daniel for new map printing.  (Paul Beckett, Planner)
